China Water: June 6, 2008: South China polluters named in Chinese press.

I found this brief article worth sharing as I feel it is a piece of evidence in the question of whether or not China will follow through and enforce its pollution laws.

Two factories discharge waste water illegally after rainstorm: The Guangxi Daily reports that on 19 May 2008, Huayuan Paper Mill and Pingxing Paper Mill, both of Bolao Town, Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, Guangxi, discharged waste water directly into the river after the city experienced a heavy rainstorm. The waste water polluted the downriver reach of Napeng town , causing Napeng Waterworks to cut off the water supply. (Guangxi Daily, 31 May)
